OUR RECOMMENDATIONS:
- Take the tour at Point Park Battlefield - its given by the Rangers on site and gives a birds eye view to one of the most important battles of the Civil War
- Do the hiking/lookout views on one day - the primary locations are in the Western part of the city and can be done together as they are close together.
- Go in the fall. Chattanooga is beautiful in the fall as you get a sense of a true fall season and its a pretty time to see the city/countryside
- Vegetarian/vegan: very easy! our favorite was the seitan wings at Sluggos!
- Clumpies has some great ice cream!
- 1) Make sure and go in the fall to get the full experience
- 2) If you end up going through Christmas times, make sure and check out the Christmas lights! There are tons of locations that do light shows during the holiday season
- 3) Glen Falls Trail - easy to do and not very strenuous. Leads to some great views of waterfalls
- 4) Edwards Point Viewpoint - a great overlook of the countryside
- 5) Point Park Battlefield - take the tour with the Rangers!
- 6) Chattanooga Choo Choo Hotel - great for exploring the history of the rail. Very decorated around Christmas Time
- 7) Walk across Walnut Street Bridge
- 8) Explore Bluff View Art District
- 9) We didn't have time, but we're recommended to see Rock City/Ruby Falls.
